Troubleshooting ideas if your furnace is not working:

There are a few things you can check to see if you can get your system up and running before we send one of our qualified service technicians to your home or business.

Check your electrical breaker box to see if the circuit for the heat pump and/or furnace has tripped off. If so-reset it to see if your heat starts. If the breaker has not tripped – reset it. Push the switch off, wait about 10-15 seconds, and then switch it back on. Wait about 10-15 minutes to see if your heat starts.

Check your thermostat. During the winter months your thermostat should be set to AUTO or HEAT.

Check your air filter. You should be able to hold your filter up to a light source and see light through it. If you cannot or it just seems very dirty – it is time to change it.
